March 25, 2020 - 12:00pm
Dear Thespians, Music Lovers and Entertainment Enthusiasts,
We wish to begin by thanking you all for your patience during this challenging time. We have been busy working with artists and promoters to reschedule events and contacting ticket holders with schedule changes.
Beginning next week, theatre staff will be working remotely, and the theatre will be closed. We will not be here to answer the phone, but during regular box office hours (Tuesday to Thursday from 10 – 3) emails and phone messages will be responded to. Inquiries can be emailed to tix@venablestheatre.ca or you can leave a voicemail at 250-498-1626.
If you have requested a refund for a rescheduled show, or are expecting a refund for a cancelled event, we are working through these now and you will receive an email with your receipt once yours is completed.
Please continue to visit our website and check our Facebook page for the most up to date information regarding our event schedule. We certainly look forward to getting back to business as usual and hosting great events for the residents of the South Okanagan.
Sincerely,
Leah and Aimee

Dear valued patrons,
As we continue to navigate through this challenging situation, we wish to thank you for your continued patience. We are systematically working through our schedule and contacting patrons with cancellations, new dates and when appropriate, offering refunds.
It is safe to assume that all performances scheduled in April and May will be postponed or rescheduled. For shows that are rescheduled, tickets are valid for the new date. For shows that are postponed indefinitely, refunds can be processed, or gift certificates can be issued for future performances.
As of now we plan to keep our box office open Tuesday – Thursday from 10 – 3 until March 26th. At that point we will close to the public but will remain open to answer telephone and email inquiries. Rest assured that most of our business at this time can be done over the phone or online. We ask that even though we are open next week, please call or email instead if you can. Our telephone number is 250-498-1626 and email is tix@venablestheatre.ca
Thank you.

Dear valued patrons,
The safety of our patrons, artists and staff is of utmost importance to us at Venables Theatre, and as such, we are carefully monitoring developments around COVID-19 and following the Public Health Agency of Canada and HealthLink BC for recommendations, guidance, and direction.
Currently, all Venables Theatre performances and events - with audiences of less than 250 people - are proceeding as scheduled.
Specifically, the events scheduled this weekend (see below) all have attendance levels safely below the 250 person threshold and are not cancelled.
The BC Government has issued a statement that gatherings of 250 or more people should be cancelled. If Venables Theatre is mandated by a governing body such as Interior Health, School District 53 or the Provincial or Federal Government to cancel all events, we will offer refunds to tickets purchasers.
As a not-for-profit live performance venue, we rely on the ongoing attendance and support of faithful patrons like you. Venables Theatre is looking out for your health and safety by implementing extra disinfecting and sanitation measures throughout our spaces.
In the meantime, our website and social media channels will be updated with any additional actions we are implementing to keep you safe, as well as any changes to our schedule.
Thank you for your trust in Venables Theatre and we look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event.
Sincerely,
Leah Foreman
