Call for Local Artists

Venables Theatre is excited to announce that Venables Alive! is back. Oliver’s very own local artist series is in its 6th season and we are so excited to see who hits the Venables stage.
 
We are once again calling for all performing artists, not limited to but including musicians, theatre, dance, comedy and spoken word from the South Okanagan and Similkameen. Artists who are selected will perform a minimum 60-minute set and performances will be scheduled between October 2026 – April 2027. 

What we offer: 

• A modest guaranteed fee plus 80% of net ticket sales (Max ticket price $20) 

• Use of the venue 

• Box Office (ticketing service) 

• In house lighting and sound equipment 

• A technician to run the lights and sound  

• Basic Marketing   

How to apply: 

• Please send a 3-5 minute video of your performance, your bio and your mailing address to submissions@venablestheatre.ca 

• Be sure to tell us why you want to do this project  

• Application period closes July 15th, 2026. 

Please note: 

• Everyone is welcome to apply, however preference will be given to artists from within the South Okanagan-Similkameen 

• A maximum of 10 people allowed per artist group (cast & crew)
